Sietse Thijs Bakker is a Dutch entrepreneur, writer, speaker and television event executive at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Bakker started his career as founder and editor-in-chief of the independent Eurovision Song Contest website Esctoday.com, at the age of 18. At the age of 22, he was hired by the EBU as Manager New Media. Two years later he was promoted to the position of Manager Communications & PR of the Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Eurovision Song Contest. As of 1 January 2011, Bakker was appointed as the Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after Svante Stockselius resigned from the role. He also holds the position of Event Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest. Bakker runs the Dutch event management company Wow!works.
